Giving Back
Stepping into your own power
In August 2024, I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest freestanding mountain in the world, as part of a global team – an experience that became as much about inner transformation as physical challenge.
Alongside this, I raised funds through UK Seva Samiti Ltd to support life-changing cataract surgeries for underserved communities in Uganda, helping restore sight and independence to those living with preventable blindness.
For me, this journey represented more than climbing a mountain. It was about breaking through long-held limiting beliefs around age, responsibility, health and what is possible – and choosing to prioritise my own wellbeing and growth. After years of carrying multiple roles and responsibilities, it was a new and powerful experience of reconnecting to myself, building both physical and mental strength, and stepping beyond perceived boundaries.
This experience continues to shape my work. It reinforced what I now support others in every day — that when we develop mental fitness, regulate our internal state and challenge the narratives that hold us back, we expand what is possible, not just externally, but from within.

United Kingdom: A Beacon of Hope
In the United Kingdom, UK Seva Samiti supports local communities through a range of impactful initiatives. This includes raising funds for the National Health Service (NHS) England to help ensure essential healthcare services remain accessible to those in need. The charity has also funded wheelchairs for sickle-cell patients at a hospital in Birmingham, improving mobility and independence. In addition, it supports causes such as air ambulance services, children’s hospitals, cancer research, hospices, and police charities, contributing to the wellbeing of individuals and families across the UK.
Africa: Nurturing Hope and Wellness
In Africa, UK Seva Samiti delivers projects that create lasting change in underserved communities. This includes funding eye cataract surgeries, helping individuals regain their sight and independence. The charity has also built water wells in Uganda, providing access to clean drinking water, and supports education by supplying materials to underprivileged students. Additional initiatives include providing meals, clothing, and footwear to children living in challenging conditions, helping restore dignity and hope.
India: Nurturing Lives and Bright Futures
In India, our charity has been actively involved in numerous projects that have transformed In India, UK Seva Samiti has led a wide range of initiatives to support vulnerable communities. This includes installing water wells and funding more to ensure access to clean drinking water. The charity supports education through initiatives such as a computer laboratory for slum children in Delhi and by covering school, college, and university fees for those in need. It also provides emergency medical support, distributes meals, clothing, and blankets, and supplies educational materials. Further efforts include distributing ration kits to families, repairing homes, and providing sanitary products to underprivileged girls, supporting both health and dignity.
